Updated October 2026. InnovDepot is an authorized ILVE dealer. Specs come from ILVE USA's published product data as of October 16, 2026. Prices are InnovDepot's standard-color prices on October 18, 2026.

The 48-inch ILVE Majestic III comes in three cooktop setups: 8 burners with a griddle, 5 burners with a griddle and a French top, or induction. All three share the same double-oven layout, the same size and the same TFT touch display. The choice comes down to how you cook.

The short answer

  • 8 burners + griddle: the most gas burners, including two rated at 25,000 BTU. Best if you cook many pots at once.
  • 5 burners + griddle + French top: one 25,000 BTU burner plus a French top, a flat cooking plate where several pans can sit at once.
  • Induction: six induction zones instead of gas, with a flat glass top that's easy to wipe clean.

What all three have in common

Every 48-inch Majestic III has two ovens: a 3.5 cu ft main oven and a 1.52 cu ft second oven, both electric and run from the TFT touch display. Every one has a temperature probe, a rotisserie, soft-close doors and a warming drawer, and comes in all 10 Majestic colors plus custom RAL colors with brass, chrome, copper or burnished trim. You can also choose a triple glass door or a solid door.

8 burners + griddle

ILVE Majestic III 48 inch dual fuel range with 8 burners and griddle in Antique White with copper trim

This is the setup for cooks who run a lot of pots at once. You get eight gas burners, two of them rated at 25,000 BTU for searing and fast boiling, four at 10,500 BTU and two at 7,000 BTU for simmering, plus a griddle.

Best for: big families, entertaining, and anyone who wants the most gas burners on a 48-inch range.

5 burners + griddle + French top

A French top is a flat cooking plate heated from below. Instead of heating one pan per burner, it gives you a surface where several pans can sit at once, which suits sauces, slow cooking and keeping things warm. You still get five gas burners, including one 25,000 BTU burner, plus a griddle.

Best for: cooks who like European-style cooking, make sauces and stocks, or want one large surface for several pans.

Induction

ILVE Majestic III 48 inch induction range

The 48-inch induction model replaces gas with six induction zones: three at 3,100 watts, two at 2,200 watts and one at 1,900 watts. It's all electric, so you don't need a gas line, but it needs a larger electrical circuit than the dual fuel models (ILVE lists 73.8 A at 240 V). Induction needs cookware that a magnet sticks to.

Best for: kitchens without gas, all-electric homes, and cooks who want a flat top that's easy to clean.

Planning for a 48-inch range

  • Opening: the range is 47 7/8 inches wide. Check your cabinet opening and the path into the kitchen.
  • Gas type: dual fuel models are offered for natural gas or liquid propane. Order the one that matches your home.
  • Electrical: dual fuel models list 240 V and 50 A; the induction model lists 240 V and 73.8 A. Have your electrician confirm the circuit.
  • Hood: plan your hood at the same time as the range.
  • Lead time: ILVE currently lists most Majestic III models as pre-order with a 90 to 120 day lead time; some colors and sizes ship sooner. We confirm the lead time for your exact model, color and trim before you order.
