Refrigerator Types

French door refrigerators are the most popular layout for modern kitchens — two narrow doors on top for the refrigerator section, a pull-out freezer drawer on the bottom. Counter-Depth vs Standard Depth

Standard depth units are 30 to 36 inches deep and offer 20-30% more interior storage, but they protrude past the counter line. Kitchen remodel decision matrix: Bosch SHXM4AY55N at $749 vs this Thor HDW2401SS at $1,104. Paid more for the Thor because we were going all-Thor in the kitchen and wanted brand consistency. Not disappointed. 45 dBA is quiet but not silent — think refrigerator hum. Cleans spectacularly. Energy Star rating matters for our all-electric utility.

Replacing 15-year-old GE — no regrets

Mom of 3, this dishwasher saved my sanity

When ordering make sure to ask for a detailed instructions. They do have them just not sent with lifts. If having delivered to a residential address, make sure you let them know the trucking company needs to let you know the day and a guesstimate of time when delivery will be.

Contractor recommended — now I know why

We were between Bosch, Miele, and Thor for our kitchen remodel in Austin. Espresso black matches our two-tone kitchen

We did a two-tone kitchen — white uppers, dark walnut lowers. I wanted everything below the counter to be dark. This Forno Capoliveri Espresso Black is perfect. Black finish finally looks pro-grade

1200 CFM is real — finally tamed my wok hei

I cook serious Sichuan food at home — dried chilies, Mapo tofu, stir-fries at 600°F. My old 400 CFM hood could not keep up. Set off the smoke detector almost every time I cooked.
